Samurai garden

Hello everyone,

Recently I’ve discovered this beautiful garden in Tamazato. It’s called 旧島津氏玉里邸庭園.  I’m not sure about the history behind it but it was probably owned by a wealthy Samurai family.

It’s a pity that this place isn’t very well known among turists ( and maybe even local people).

It’s a fascinating spot in Kagoshima and on top of that it’s free, no entrance fee is requested.

If you find yourself in the area I’d highly recommend to check this garden and its beauties out.
