⭐ What is the Star Class?
The Star Class is a special level for our most advanced and outgoing elementary students; kids who can read intermediate English smoothly, hold long conversations, and express themselves with confidence. Think of it as our top-tier level, designed for students who love a challenge! 🌟

👋 Hello Everyone!
This month, we want to share something truly special from our Star Class. During June, the students played a storytelling game called “Yes, and…” and the results were so creative that we just had to share them with you!
🎭 What is the “Yes, and…” Game?
“Yes, and…” is a classic improv storytelling game that encourages creativity, active listening, and quick thinking all in English! Here is how it works:
- One student says a sentence to start a story.
- The next student begins their turn by saying “Yes, and…” agreeing with what was said and then adding something new to continue the story.
- Each student takes a turn, building on the sentence before them.
- The story grows and gets more imaginative with every round! 🚀
The beauty of this game is that students cannot say “no” they must accept what came before and keep the story moving forward. It teaches cooperation, confidence, and creative English expression in a really fun way!
In June, Mr. Oz played this game with the Star Class and together they created a wonderfully wild story. For homework, Oz asked each student to turn the class story into a comic strip using their own drawings.
One student, Rino, did such an outstanding job that we knew we had to share her work with everyone. Below you will find her original hand-drawn pages and I (Eric) loved them so much that I went ahead and created a full-color remastered version too! 🎨

今月は、スタークラスからとても素敵な作品をご紹介したいと思います。 6月に、生徒たちは 「Yes, and…（はい、そして…）」 というストーリーテリングゲームに取り組みました。その内容があまりにも面白く、創造性あふれるものだったので、ぜひ皆さんにもご覧いただきたいと思いました！
🎭「Yes, and…」ゲームとは？
「Yes, and…」は、創造力・傾聴力・瞬発的な思考力をすべて英語で楽しく鍛えられる、即興ストーリーテリングゲームです。遊び方はとてもシンプルです：
- 一人の生徒が、物語の最初の一文を言います。
- 次の生徒は 「Yes, and…（はい、そして…）」 と言ってから、前の文を受け入れつつ、新しい展開を加えます。
- 順番に一人ずつ、前の文につなげながら物語を広げていきます。
- ターンを重ねるごとに、物語はどんどん想像豊かに膨らんでいきます！🚀
このゲームの大切なルールは、「ノー」と言えないことです。前の人が言ったことを必ず受け入れ、物語を前に進めなければなりません。お友だちと協力する力、自信、そして英語での創造的な表現力が、楽しみながら自然と身につくゲームです！
6月、オズ先生がスタークラスでこのゲームを行い、みんなで力を合わせてとても楽しいストーリーを作り上げました。宿題として、Oz先生はそのストーリーをもとにコミックを描いてくることをお願いしました。
生徒の一人、りのさんの作品がとても素晴らしかったので、皆さんにぜひご紹介したいと思いました。下には彼女の手描き原稿を掲載しています。あまりにも気に入ってしまったので、私（エリック）がフルカラーのリマスター版も作りました！🎨
